Welcome to PlusSixteen's blog where we'll share with you our journey from San Francisco, CA to Kaneohe Oahu, HI approximately 2,200 nautical miles across the open waters of the Pacific Ocean in a bi-annual race called the Pacific Cup.
This will be our second Pacific Cup race. While we have entered and started preparations already, the race will be in July of 2008.
We hope you'll enjoy following our progress throughout the year of preparations and during the actual race and well beyond. Check back often or subscribe and we'll keep you informed.

I am so excited to be a part of the Plus Sixteen's second sail to Hawaii. I enjoy the prep, but my favorite part is flying to Hawaii and waiting for her and her crew to arrive--of course that entails enduring the sun, surf and Mai Tais! God speed, and be safe. Love to you both!!
